Friday July 26, 2024 the Lewis Ranch, former home of Rockand country icon Jerry Lee Lewis, officially has new owners. Todd and Angel Herendeen of Panama City Beach, FL plan to open Lewis's Home as an International tourist destination for fans to enjoy.
Saturday September 21, 2024 is their Grand Opening goal, as long as all restoration and cleaning if the property goes smoothly and timely.
September 20 is the unveiling of the Jerry Lee Lewis statue in nearby Siloh Square and the Herendeen's want the whole week to be filled with Jerry Lee fun for fans that are traveling from all over the world, so that's why they want to tie in the grand opening the day after. The Herendeen's hope to also plan an event at the ranch, the following weekend, September 28, in honor of Jerry Lee’s 89th birthday!
There is alot of cleaning, restoring, freshening up and putting back happening at the Lewis ranch in order to be ready for the public. Fans, friends and family have graciuosly donated or loaned alot of Jerry Lees personal belongings back to the home fir fans to enjoy. The Herendeen's want what they are titling, "The Lewis Ranch Experience, " to be top notch and equal quality of the other great businesses in Desoto county.
Jerry Lee's 1983 Cadillac car has been purchased and restored by the Herendeen's and will also be brought back to the ranch for fans to enjoy.
